William Earl Brown, 84, Mt. Juliet, died Saturday, Nov. 9. 

Brown was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ and was retired from Ford Motor Company. He was the son of the late, John and Effie Hopper Brown. Brown was also preceded in death by brother, Jerry Brown; sister, Ernestine Howarth and daughter, Sissy Hicks.   

He is survived by: wife of 29 years, Janie Brown; sons, Jeff (Lisa) Brown and Gregg (Cathy) Brown; daughters, Susan Russell, Vivian Vanderburg, Becky Stewart and Mary Jane Hicks; sisters, Aliene Hardy and Joyce Wright; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Brother August Ruff Head officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Warren Smith, Mike Goodall, Alex Poteete, Aaron Jones, Hatton Wright and Vincent Lenning. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Green Hill Church of Christ.

Samuel Grant Farmer, Wednesday, Nov. 6,  the infant son of Grant and Megan Farmer of Mt. Juliet. 

In addition, he is survived by: maternal grandparents, Thomas and Linda Tozer; paternal grandparents, Richard and Sharon Farmer; aunts and uncles, Alyssa and John McDonald, Emily Farmer, Blake and Mariah Farmer.

Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 8, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jacob Armstrong officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Richard Martyn Hebert, 66, Hermitage, died Wednesday, Nov. 6. 

He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and the son of the late, Douglas Geoffrey Hebert. 

He is survived by: mother, Forrest Ellen Hebert; former spouse, Paula Hebert; daughters, Loree Hebert and Courtney Pignone; seven grandchildren 

Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 10, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chuck Groover officiating.

Lord “Ron” Henry was born Nov. 29, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away Nov. 4.  

He is he is preceded in death by his parents; John A Henry and Jean C Young.  

Lord Henry was a true patriot. He joined the Ohio Air National Guard at age 17. He also served in the Air Force, Naval Reserve, and the U.S. Army from which he retired in 1979 as First Sargent. Ron served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War and received numerous awards including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and the Presidential Unit Citation.

He is a lifetime member of the 25th Infantry Regiment Association and Wilson County Vietnam Veterans of America. Ron was a member of The Old Guard (Ft. Myer/Arlington National Cemetery) and served on Robert F. Kennedy’s burial team. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

Lord “Ron” Henry founded and served as President of Lord Henry Enterprises from 1995 until 2009. Lord Henry Enterprises specialized in safety and security products. He was recognized as a safety and security industry entrepreneur. He previously worked in the automotive industry and in risk management for Kroger. Ron earned a B.S. from Columbia College of Missouri.  

He is survived by: wife, Shannon Gold Henry; daughter, Ronnica Henry of Tennessee; sons, Rod Henry of Kentucky and John Henry of Indiana; sister, Patricia(Terry)Knott of Ohio; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were Sunday, Nov. 10 with visitation prior to the service at New Hope Baptist Church, 6010 S New Hope Rd, Hermitage, TN 37076.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for funding Wilson County’s Veteran’s Park and Museum, (fundraising is currently underway) for the benefit of honoring and supporting local veterans.  These contributions may be sent to: Wilson County Veterans Office (615-444-2460). John T. Schoonmaker was born in Walden, NY, July 17, 1935 and passed away Oct. 28.

He was a supervisor at DuPont. 

He is survived by: wife Joan B Schoonmaker Gallatin; children, Sharon (Bobby) Anglin,. Mt Juliet, John (Donna) Schoonmaker, Hendersonville; grand children Chris (Jennifer) Anglin, Mt Juliet, Addrienne Anglin, Bardstown, Ky., Misty (Tim) Crook, White House; great grandchildren, Mason Bunch, Morgan Anglin, Cody Crook, Blake Crook, Madison Anglin; sister Philamena Cassalino Newburgh, NY; brother Granville Schoonmaker Wallkill, NY.

He is preceded in death by: father Myron H. Schoonmaker; mother Anna B. Mulofski; brothers and sisters, Mary Cargo, Fred Schoonmaker, Myron Schoonmaker, George Schoonmaker.

In 1966, John moved his family from Newburgh, NY to Hendersonville,  to advance his career at the DuPont plant in Old Hickory. John also volunteered as the football announcer at Hawkins Junior High School and was known as the “Mouth of the South”. After retirement John and his wife, Joan, moved to Castilian Springs to try their hand at farming and raising cows, llamas, chickens, and pigmy goats. After illness slowed him down, they moved inside the Gallatin City Limits. Many friends both old and new will miss him.

A celebration of life is Nov. 17, 2 to 5 p.m. at Glen Oak Clubhouse, 101 Agee Cir. Hendersonville, TN. Bring and share your John stories.  The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The American Heart Association or Greyhound Pets of America.
