Jere N. McCulloch, 66, Lebanon, died Saturday, Aug. 24. 

McCulloch was the founding partner of the law firm of McCulloch & Aulds and a founding member of its successor, Rochelle, McCulloch & Aulds, PLLC. He had served as the managing member of the firm since its inception. Jere received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1972. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Tennessee in 1973 and had practiced law in Lebanon since that time. Jere was preceded in death by his grandson, Spencer Bass.

He is survived by: daughter, Laura (Paul) Bass; parents, Forrest “Nabe” and Alice Jones McCulloch; brothers, Guy (Ann) McCulloch and Dale (Mary) McCulloch; grandchildren, Brayden Bass and Elizabeth Bass.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, 1940 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Clint McCulloch, Jimmy McCulloch, Matt McCulloch, Lynn McCulloch, Earl McCulloch and Stan Force. Honorary pallbearers will be members and staff of Rochelle, McCulloch & Aulds and Hank McCall and Howard Sanders.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the Mt. Juliet-Wilson County Library, 2765 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 or the local charity of your choice. 

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Diana Graves Dyer, 57, Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday, Aug. 13. 

Dyer was employed by Vanity Fair for 23 years. She was preceded in death by her father, James Byron “Bye” Graves; husband, Winston W. Dyer, Jr. and sons, Winston W. “Trey” Dyer and Cody Dyer.   

She is survived by: mother, Kathleen Dedman Holland; siblings, Kathy (Ronnie) Pulley, Renee Guy, Pam (Kevin) Smith and Scott Holland; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 15 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Khette Cox officiating. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Lucille “Lulu” Lowry, was born Jan. 29, 1913 in rural Davidson County. She passed away Aug. 16, at the age of 100. Lulu graduated from Central High School in Ashland City and also from Nashville Business College and Watkins Institute. After working at the Belle Meade Hosiery Mills in Nashville, she took and passed the Civil Service Exam. In September, 1941, she accepted a position at the Pentagon with the Department of the Navy in Washington, DC. Throughout WWII she worked in the Labor Relations Section. At the end of the war, she went to work for the Under Secretary of the Navy, John L. Sullivan. She remained with him as he served as the Secretary of the navy under President Truman. In 1956, she accepted a post in Paris, France at S.H.A.P.E. She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Staff until her retirement in 1971. Upon her return to the US, she became very active in church and community activities, especially the Senior Citizens. But what she loved more than anything else was spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by: parents, Walter and Mary Davis; son, John Lowry III, grandchildren, Kaye Wilson and Kerry Wilson; four brothers; and three sisters. 

She is survived by daughter, Anne (Randolph) Wilson; grandchildren, Beverly (Glenn) Jordan; Mike (Cindy) Wilson and Kevin (Christie) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Stephanie, Christopher, Matthew and Parker; and great-great-grandchildren, Sam, Liam, Jackson, Gracie, Conner and Emily.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Pastor Ed Britt officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Ryan McGee, 20, Antioch passed away Aug. 12. 

He is survived by: parents, Kevin and Zona McGee; sister, Crystal (Glenn) Bowron; nephews, Hunter and Grayson Bowron; niece, Hailey Bowron; and great-grandmother, Juanita Mills.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 12-8 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 22 from 10-11 a.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Larry Floyd officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Frances Celeste Sanford Taylor, 84, Hermitage, died Wednesday, Aug. 14.  Taylor was a life-long advocate for children. She was the daughter of the late, Burton Sanford and Mary Virginia Barfield Sanford. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Sanford; husband, Landon Taylor; brother, Jack Sanford and grandson, Benjamin Segal.

She is survived by: children, Rick (Henrietta) Cummings, Lucinda Cummings and Robert Segal, Rob (Tammy) Cummings and Clark (Melissa) Cummings; grandchildren, Erin Cummings, Scott Cummings, Sam Segal, Tara Miles, Michelle McPherson, Caroline Cummings, Blake Cummings and Braeden Cummings.      

A memorial service was Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Bond Memorial Chapel.
