Camelia Rose Cummings, 81, Lebanon passed away April 9. Funeral service were Saturday, April 11 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Pastor Bruce Grubbs officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 10 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 11th from 9 a.m. until service. 

She is preceded in death by: husband, Martin Cummings; parents, Paul and Pearl Partlow; son, Keith Cummings; daughter, Jeanna Powell.

Survivors include: children, Paula Lannom, Rachel Gunnels, Barry Cummings; grandchildren, Kim Ricketts, Erica Pearson, Shane Lannom, Lance Lannom, Kaela Cummings, Taylor Gunnels, and Madie Gunnels; great-grandchildren, Gage Ricketts, Callie Rose Pearson, Buck Pearson, Gracie Pearson, Scotty Lannom, Tristen Van Dette, Morgan Pearl Lannom, and Presley Lannom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the office of Sellars Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

Dora Dean Mash Foriest, 93, Mt. Juliet, died April 5, in St. Petersburg, Fla. Dora was a member of Center Chapel Church of Christ and the Mt. Juliet Senior Citizen Center. She attended high school in Hickman County, and was retired from the maintenance department of Martin Marietta Corporation. Dora was also a seamstress for many years and was known for her excellent cooking skills. Dora was the daughter of the late, Donnie and Algie Mash and the wife of the late, Burnice Foriest. She was also preceded in death by her children, Nicky Foriest, Jerry W. Foriest and Bernadine Nelson and her siblings, Wyetta Curtis, Gertrude Johnson and Shirley McCaslin.

She is survived by: son-in-law, Mel Nelson; daughter-in-law, Barbara Foriest; sisters, Kathleen (Carl) Crow and Dorothy (Marshall) Martin; grandchildren, Cathy Foriest and Brandon Nelson.

Funeral services were Friday, April 10, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. Andy Connelly officiating. Graveside services followed at Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens, Oak Ridge, TN.

Charles William Jones, Sr., 75, Mt. Juliet, died April 11. 

Jones was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a plumber and electrician and worked as a sub-contractor for West Wilson Utility District for 52 years. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late, Robert W. and Gladys Rodgers Jones. Jones was also preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Donna Griffin Jones.

He is survived by: son, Rev. C. William (Pat) Jones, Jr.; daughter, Renee’ (Alan Love) Carter; sister, Virginia Weston; grandchildren, Aaron Carter, Eric Carter, Jessie Freeland and John Freeland; great-grandchildren, Shyann Freeland and Jaycee Freeland; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Lane, Mt. Juliet, TN with Rev. Chuck Groover and Rev. C. William Jones, Jr. officiating.

The family requests no flowers, please. Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, Victory Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation will be at the church two hours prior to the service.

Mary Ruth Phelps, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 8, after a long illness. 

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 15 at 11 a.m. from Covenant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, April 14 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet and Wednesday at the church with one hour prior to the service. 

She was married to the Rev. Stannard E. Phelps in 1946. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Plen Smith and Grace Wilson Smith. Mary graduated from Terre Haute Business College and was a medical secretary of great skill, and also worked for the Tennessean in the 1960s and 1970s. She and her husband pastored around the country; and were in Alaska during its transition to statehood. In 1966, they started the Mt. Juliet Church of the Nazarene. She attended her last church service there on Easter Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stannard E. Phelps, and two grandchildren, Stannard Phelps III and Angelina Starr Phelps. She is survived by her children, Janette Adamson, John (Michele) Phelps, Stannard Phelps, Jr., Cheryl Myers; siblings, Melvin (Mary) Smith, Norma Jean Murtaugh; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Arthur Kevin Stewart, 62, Mt. Juliet, died April 4. 

Kevin was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Community. He graduated from Northwestern High School in Darlington, Penn. and was Vice President of Distributor Sales, North America at VF Imagewear, Inc. Kevin was the son of the late, Arthur Earl and Patricia Eales Stewart. He loved his faith, his family and hunting.

He is survived by: wife of 32 years, Karen Renee Stewart; sons, Arthur Aaron (Lori) Stewart and Adam Stewart; brothers, Karl (Judy) Stewart, P. Kreig (Joann) Stewart and M. Kelly (Diane) Stewart; sister, Karen Sadler; grandchild, Loralei Null; father-in-law, John Leopardo; sisters-in-law, Kathyrn (Bill) McKenzie, Sylvia (Jeff) Simon, Barbara (Greg) Martin and Elvy (Dave) Kirkham; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass was Wednesday, April 8 at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Rd., Old Hickory, TN with Father Pat Kibby officiating. The Vigil was Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials made to St. Stephen Catholic Community Building Fund, 14544 Lebanon Rd., Old Hickory, TN 37138.
