Wanda R. Brown, Mt. Juliet passed away April 2 at the age of 63. 

She is preceded in death by parents, Loyd and Illa Goolsby. 

She is survived by: husband, Wayne Brown; son, Jackie (Kathy) Posey; daughter, Chassity (Windle) Webster, Jr.; step-children, Jeff Brown, Donna (Scottie) Goolsby, Gail (Jimmy) Bond and Sherry Brown; brothers, Harlon Goolsby, Troy Goolsby, Caleb Goolsby and David Goolsby; sisters, Louise Blanken, Lurie Barlow, Martha Burton and Barbara Wheeler; and grandchildren, David Posey, Levi Posey, Haliegh Webster, Bryson Webster, Kelsey Robbins, Kirsten Robbins, Kortney Robbins, Jerry Spencer, Sarah Spencer and Katelyn Spencer.

Funeral services were Friday, April 5 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, 2131 South Grundy Quarles Hwy, Gainesboro, TN with Bro. Gary Wilson officiating. Interment followed the service at Turkeytown Cemetery, Turkey Town Road, Celina, TN with David Posey, Levi Posey, Casey Goolsby, Bobby Meadows, Hugh Martin, and Windle Webster, Sr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: Jeff Brown and Oswaldo Crespo. Visitation with the family was Thursday, April 4 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet and Friday, April 5 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.

Albert Cecil Davis, Jr.,  73, Hermitage, died Wednesday, April 3. 

Davis was a member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. He retired in 2004 from CSX. Mr. Davis was the son of the late, Albert Cecil Davis, Sr. and Sallie Elizabeth Clark Davis.  

He is survived by: wife of 47 years, Lawanda Victory Davis; children, Gary (Rebekah) Davis and Valerie (Jay) Brasel; twin sister, Cecelia (Charles) Meador; grandchildren, Beau Brasel and Kylie Brasel.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 6 at Bond Memorial Chapel with David Shannon and Buddy Victory officiating. Interment followed at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends served as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Elders and Deacons of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ and Dr. Eric Raefsky.

Ruth Hutson Duke, 85, former long-time resident of Alpine Drive, died Monday April 1, at Gardens of Providence Place in Mt. Juliet. 

Graveside services were Wednesday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Blythe officiating. The family visited with friends Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols.

Born in Perryville, she was the daughter of the late Lee Hutson and Jennie Tomlin Hutson.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing for her family. An avid reader, she read through the Bible a number of times and was a member of the First Assembly of God.  Her husband of 52 years, Ray Duke, died August 3, 1998. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by  her son and daughter-in-law, Randall Ray and Rebecca Duke of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Cameron (Jessica) Duke of Cullowhee, North Carolina and Lauren Duke of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Barnwell of Hudson, NC and Ed Montgomery of Parsons; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters; Lorraine Sneed, Johnnie Montgomery, Frankie Mathis, Mary Lee Barnwell, and brother, James Hutson.

Active pallbearers were Cameron Duke, Richard Pearson, Mike King, Terry Dawson, Tim Smith, and Nate Bentley.  Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Barnwell, Ed Montgomery, and the men of First Assembly of God.

George, Jr., Lennie Gary, 89, Mt. Juliet, died Sunday, April 7. 

George was a member of Nonaville Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was the son of the late, Lennie Gary George, Sr. and Mary Ross George. Mr. George was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie George.

He is survived by: son, Kennie (Brenda) George; sister, Charlene Richardson; grandson, Matthew George; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Kennie George officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg. Active pallbearers will be Matthew George, Andy Wilson, Grady Wilson, Mitch Wilson, Jeff Anderson and Chris Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Surrat, Tony Ferguson, Eddie Ferguson, Brian Baskin and Todd Baskin.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Mt. Juliet Health Care for the love and kindness shown to Mr. George.

Jean Graham, 86, Mt Juliet, after a short illness passed away Mon day, April 1. 

She is survived by: loving children, Cynthia (James) Ratzlaff, Tomma Pangburn, Sandy (Paul) Bendickson and Gary Hopper; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will truly be missed by all!
