Beloved husband, father, brother and friend, Donald Rogers Lawrence, went to be with his Lord and SaviorTuesday, Nov. 26. 

He was born Aug. 4, 1935 in Sykes, and married Bettye Jane Hudson, Aug. 3, 1962. 

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Millard Squires and Lula Mae Lawrence; siblings, Thelma, Bertha, James, Otis, Ray and Martha. 

He his survived by loving wife, Bettye; children, Alan and Debi, Michael and Robin; granddaughters, Sammy, Logan and Lindsey; brother Eddie Lawrence. 

Lawrence retired after 37 years of working with Servomation Vending Co. He was an active member of Victory Baptist Church. 

Visitation was Saturday, Nov. 30 and prior to the service, Sunday, Dec. 1. Brother Chuck Groover officiated at Hermitage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Donnie’ s honor to Victory Baptist Church Building fund, 1777 Tate Lane, Mt. Juliet, NT 37122.

Sherry Wofford Crutcher, 77, Mt. Juliet, passed away Nov. 23.  

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Leonard & Ocye B. Wofford; Alex Buford Crutcher-husband; Charles Franklin Barnes-husband; and Jimmy Wofford-brother.

She is survived by her son, Kerry Barnes (Wei Yue); daughters, Debbie Menconi (Al), Rhonda Shepard (Gary), and Tammy Webb (D. J.); brother, Ron Wofford (Judy); sister, JoCele Harris (Bill); 8 grandchildren, Alison Menconi Pruett, Rachel Shepard Armstrong (Jacob), Lauren Shepard, Leslie Shepard Anderson (Adam), Whitney Barnes, Tanner Webb (Brittany), Daniel Webb, and Andrew Menconi; 6 great-grandchildren, Kalie & Ethan Pruett, Mary, Lydia, & Phoebe Armstrong, and Austin Anderson; special aunt, Lucille Wofford; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Crutcher was an active member of Maple Hill Church of Christ in Benton, KY, and later Green Hill Church of Christ in Mt. Juliet, TN.  Most recently she has attended the Providence Church in Mt. Juliet, pastored by grandson, Jacob Armstrong.  She was a member of the Mt. Juliet Senior Center, where she served as Corporate Representative in 2010.  Mrs. Crutcher retired from AT&T after 28 years of service.  During her years with AT&T, she was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, where she served in several capacities, including President of her local chapter.

Funeral service was Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Hermitage Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Armstrong and Bro. August Ruff officiating.  Later in the day, family and friends gathered at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Dover, TN, for a committal service with Bro. Dan Sykes and Rev. Jacob Armstrong officiating.  Interment followed in Wofford Cemetery.

Blanche Faircloth Shankle, Mt. Juliet, died Monday, Dec. 9. 

Shankle was a member of Center Chapel Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class. She was the daughter of the late, James W. and Ellen Seat Faircloth. Mrs. Shankle was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Shankle; son, John Robert “Bobby” Shankle; brother, James W. Faircloth and sister, Mildred Phillips.  

She is survived by: son, David S. Shankle; daughter-in-law, Donna Arrington; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Haynes, Marissa (Alan) Hatcher, Sharon (Paul) Poland, Angela Shankle and R.J. Shankle; nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Brother John Miller officiating. Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Jerry Wayne Ward, 71, Old Hickory, died Saturday, Nov. 30.  

Jerry had served in the National Guard. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting. Jerry was the son of the late, Andrew Jackson and Sarah Warrick Ward. He was also preceded in death by his siblings.

He is survived by: son, Shane (Margaret) Ward; grandchildren, Michael Shane Ward, II and Mary Elisabeth Ward.

Funeral services will be private.

Sarah Geneva Bradshaw was born April 27, 1925 to James Albert and Blanche (Applegarth) Streetman in Dickson County. She passed away Nov. 29 at Alive Hospice of Skyline Medical Center in Madison. She was 88 years of age. 

She is survived by: daughter, Linda Watkins (Larry) of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Kimberley Watkins, Sherrie Hession, Cindy Bradshaw and Tammy Hunter; several great grandchildren, which includes Hunter and Chase Hession, among others. 

Beside her parents, Bradshaw is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Kimball Bradshaw, son William H. Bradshaw, sister Hazel Stewart, Mary “Nan” Lyell, Edna Garrett Balthrop, and brothers Robert and Vardell Streetman. 

Visitation with the family was Monday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday Dec. 3 until the time of service. Funeral service was Tuesday, Dec. 3 from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home beginning with Bro. Black officiating. Burial followed at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sylvia.
