Edna Christina Starr, 90, Hermitage, died April 21. 

Edna was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Regina Murdock; husband, Edwin Anthony Starr; one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by: her son, Timothy Starr of Pittsburgh, Penn.; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah (Ray) Grabinski of Mt. Juliet; brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Judy) Murdock of Pittsburgh, Penn.; sister, Marie Scheuermann of California; grandchildren, Kathleen Lynch, Megan Grabinski, Rachel Grabinski and Ryan Grabinski; and friends of Provision Living.

Funeral Mass was Saturday, April 25 at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Father Pat Kibby officiating. She will be interred in a niche at a later time in Christ the Redeemer Mausoleum in Pittsburgh, Penn.

Nelia Jean Ward, 85, Mt. Juliet, died April 23. 

Ward was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ. She loved traveling, quilting and Bunko. Mrs. Ward was the daughter of the late, Eldridge Emmett and Neita Mai Hutcherson Nicholson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Whitaker and Frances Joines.

She is survived by: husband of 68 years, A. J. Ward; daughter, Beverly (Jim) Lamberson; sister, Mary R. Lovel; grandchildren, Greg (Julie) Lamberson and Shannon (Eddie) Smith; great-grandchildren, Jordan Lamberson, Drew Truitt, Blanton Smith, Kincey Smith and Nathan Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Greg Lamberson, Eddie Smith, Jordan Lamberson, Drew Truitt, Blanton Smith, Kincey Smith and Nathan Smith.

Christopher Paul Arivett, 43, Dixon Springs passed away April 15. 

Funeral Service was Tuesday, April 21 at Sellers Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment followed in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, April 21 until service. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Glenda Yarbrough Arivett; and special companions, Spanky and Redneck. Survivors include: his wife, Lisa Arivett of Dixon Springs; sister, Shannon (Matt) Shriner; brothers, Anthony (Kathy) Arivett, Ed (Lorie) Piotrowski; nieces and nephews, Hannah, Sam, Sarah, and Tyler Shriner, Josh, Nick, and Jarrod Yarbrough, Brendan Piotrowski, and beloved children, “Nana”, “Nausa”, and “Dale Earnhart, Jr., Junior”.

Marvina S. Jones, 74, Old Hickory, died April 16. Marvina was a member of Rutland Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm Seaborn and Mary Lee Mason; sister-in-law, Carolyn Seaborn.

She is survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Ricky (Donna Gann) Eakes of Antioch; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene (Chuck) Sedgwick of Old Hickory; brothers and sister-in-law, Doug (Gail) Seaborn of Bon Aqua, Robert Seaborn of Hermitage; grandchildren, Rachel and Matthew Sedgwick; special friend and physician, Dr. Bruce Richards.

Funeral services were Monday, April 20 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Hunn officiating. Interment followed at Rutland Cemetery.

Rosa Locke, 82, Lebanon, died April 15 of cancer. 

Locke was a member of the Mt. Juliet/West Wilson Lions Club where she had served as Secretary and the Business and Professional Women’s Club where she had served as Secretary and as President from 1981-1982. She was also a member of Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet and the Wilson County Grand Squares. Mrs. Locke was the daughter of the late, Leonard Ralph and Eunice Olivia Mickle Rowland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Locke and her daughter, Yvonne Locke.

She is survived by: daughters, Rachael L. (Ed) Reagan and Lacy L. Felts; son, Carl Leonard Locke; sister, Jeannie Wentworth; grandchildren, Chris King, Vanessa Brown, Dusty Locke, Maureen Reagan, Elise Felts, Joel Felts, Dalton Locke and Kneelan Smith-Locke; great-grandchildren, Kimber Brown, Graceyn Brown, Taylor Meadows, Kavionna Felts and Brailyn Brown.

Funeral services were Sunday, April 19, at Bond Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet.
