Doris Hughes Gustavesen, 86, Mt. Juliet, and formerly of Stony Point, NY, went to be with her Lord on March 21. 

Doris was born Aug. 1, 1928 in Pottsville, Penn. to the late Homer and Helen Hughes. She was a member of Celebration Lutheran Church as well as an active volunteer and member of various organizations in the community. Doris leaves those closest to her with fond memories of her love of life, cooking, playing the piano and her strong devotion to God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harold “Gus” Gustavsen; brother, James Hughes, granddaughter, Jessica Boone Graeff and son-in-law, Dennis Martin.

She is survived by: daughters, Diane Gustavsen and Debbie Martin; sons, Richard (Mary) Gustavsen and Robert (Kristin) Gustavsen; sister, Dr. Jean (Ed) Banks; brother, Robert (Judy) Hughes; grandchildren, Steven Graef, Scott Graef, David Martin, Daniel Martin, Christopher Gustavsen, Mark Gustavsen, Kevin Gustavsen, Erick Gustavsen Noemi, Matthew Gustavsen, Nicole Gustavsen, Colby Gustavsen and Alexis Gustavsen; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends; cherished dog and companion, Teddy.

Funeral services were Monday, March 30, at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Tim Haun, 64, Mt. Juliet passed away Saturday, March 28, at Summit Medical Center. 

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 2 at 6 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Visitation with the family is Thursday, April 2 from 4 p.m. until time of service.

Tim was born in Billings, Mont. on Sept. 2, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Haun and Mary Whittle. 

Survivors include: his loving wife, Jodi Wright Haun of Mt. Juliet; children, Summer West of Lakeland, Fla., Nicholas Zamudio of Oak Ridge, Joseph Zamudio of Mt. Juliet, Candice Rose of Mt. Juliet and Eric Dane Mattson of Dallas,  Texas; brother, Kevin Haun; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn West, Allison West, Cloud Zamudio, Isaac Rose and Eva Rose.

Linda O’Halloran, 67, Mt. Juliet passed away Friday, March 27. 

A memorial service was Monday, March 30 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Visitation with the family was Monday, March 30 until time of service.

Linda was born March 10, 1948 to the late John and Mary Cairns. 

She is survived by: husband, Jim O’Halloran; children, Mary Boyd, James Hess, Christopher Hess and Michelle Scharf; sister, Dorothy Gockerman; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Samson.

Roy Elmer Pierce, Sr., 84, Mt. Juliet, died March 28. 

Pierce was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He retired from Pilot Freight Company with 30 years of service. Mr. Pierce was the son of the late, Otto and Nellie Bryant Pierce. He was also preceded in death by his son, Danny Webb Pierce and his brother, Odis Pierce.

He is survived by: wife of 61 years, Gay Nell Pierce; sons, Roy Pierce, Jr. and James David “J.D.” Pierce; brothers, Willie Pierce, George Pierce and James Pierce; sisters, Mary Velma Craft and Bessie Whittle; grandchildren, Roy Pierce, III and Gina Altman; great-grandchildren, Chloe Pierce, Jasper Pierce, Isaac Lee and Colby Lee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 31, at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Hershel Lee Waller, born Sept. 18, 1928, passed away March 26. 

In 1958, he co-founded Lebanon Appliance with David B. Carroll on Market Street across from the old ice plant. Later the business moved to 627 North Cumberland Street, where they were joined by Raymond Manners, who took ownership of the business upon their retirement in 1979. Waller and Carroll were co-owners of the North Cumberland Center with Rev. Bob Evans. He was named to the community council on a rotating basis of Wilson Bank and Trusts. In the late 1970s, Mr. Waller was Santa at the Peoples Bank in Lebanon and in the 1980s, he was Santa at Wilson Bank & Trust. Mr. Waller was a long time member of First Church of the Nazarene in Lebanon and Covenant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene. 

Survivors include: children, Lynne (Jim) Sutton and Lance (Patty) Waller; and three grandsons: Austin (16), Braxton (13) and Corbin (10). Also, one brother: Clifton (Shelby) Waller; sisters-in-law: Frances Ward Waller and Birdie Waller; and several nieces and nephews. 

Waller was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Hesson Waller. Also, parents, Alfred Hershel Waller and Maggie Duke Waller; brothers, Edgar Waller, Frank Waller and Shelton Waller; and sister-in-law, Helen Waller.

Funeral service were Sunday, March 29 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment followed the service at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Bryant Waller, Mark Waller, Steve Waller, Mike Waller, David Waller and Austin Waller serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: Ronnie Waller, Braxton Waller and Corbin Waller. Visitation with the family was Saturday, March 28  and Sunday, March 29.
