Steven Gregory Garton,  51, passed away June 10. 

Garton was preceded in death by parents, Charles Andrew and Helen Elizabeth Deason Garton. 

He is survived by daughter, Melissa Garton Sudberry; sister, Carole Garton Dooley; grandchildren, Allison Garton, Kylee Elizabeth Garton, Layla Garton and Nadia Sudberry; and niece, Lindsay Dooley. 

A memorial service for Mr. Garton was Saturday, June 16 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with visitation prior to the service.

Antonio Martinez, 43, Madison passed away June 17. 

Martinez was preceded in death by mother, Antonio Martinez Resendiz. 

He is survived by his companion, Paula Noyola; father, Gumesindo Martinez Hernandez; brothers, Raul (Gladys Gomez) Martinez and Jesus (Amarilys Reyes) Martinez; sister, Carmen Martinez; sons, Antonio Martinez, Arjenis Martinez, Juan Martinez and Rene Martinez; daughter, Maria de Jesus Martinez; cousins, Isaias Sanchez, Alfonso Sanchez, Elvia (Gerardo “Mona” Flores) Martinez, Rito Martinez and numerous cousins. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21 at 4 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Father Fernando Lopez officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, June 20 from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be at El Lobo Cemetery in Mexico with Fidell Castro, Adan Vargas, Rolando Vargas, Valente Hernandez, Silvester Flores and Lucas Taylor serving as pallbearers.

Jewelle Ophelia Wilson died June 4. She was born Nov. 18, 1921. 

She is preceded in death by: husbands, James W. Thompson and Edward Ray Wilson; sons, John Clifton Thompson and Jeffrey Ray Wilson; mother, Beedie Jane Carter; father, Wade Hampton Carter; brothers, Walter Lynn Carter, Wade Elmer Carter, Cleo Thaxton Carter, William Archy Carter, Floyd Jackson Carter, James Callis Carter; and sister, Jane Odelle Harris. 

She is survived by: companion of 40 years, James T. Moore; daughter, Jacqueline Ann Locke-Grogan (John); sons, James Patrick (Patricia) Thompson, Jimmy Walker (Janice) Thompson; grandchildren, Jim (Judy) Locke, Jason (Kim) Locke, Jeremy (Cindy) Locke, Hannah (Brett) Bagwell, Haleigh Thompson; great-grandchildren, Courtney Locke, Hunter Locke, Whitney Locke, Seth Locke, Becca Locke; and niece Jane (Fred) Roberts. 

Visitation at Hermitage Funeral Home was Thursday, June 7. Graveside services followed. Hermitage Memorial Gardens officiated by John M. Grogan, son-in-law.

Beverley C. Sutton, Mt. Juliet, passed away June 5 at the age of 77. 

She was preceded in death by: parents, Herbert C. and Harriett P. Coleman; brother, Herbert Coleman, Jr.; sons, Ricky Sutton and Wayne Sutton; and foster daughter, Cindy Shaver. 

Sutton is survived by: her husband of 58 years, Harold W. Sutton; daughter, Ramona Sutton; grandchildren, Meredith, Marlee, Austin and Kendyl; and many extended family members and life-long friends to numerous to name.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 9 at Cooks United Methodist Church, 7919 Lebanon Road, Mt. Juliet. Interment followed the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Joseph Barrett, Michael Barrett, Tony Malkiewicz, Austin Auld, Robert Campbell, Jimmy Smith, Eddie Graves, Herbert Sutton and Dale Carver serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: 3rd Floor Oncology, Sarah Cannon nurses, Alive Hospice, Randall & Peggy Clemmons and all Granville, TN friends. Visitation with the family was Thursday, June 7, Friday, June 8, and prior to the service at the church. At the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Centennial.

Robert “Bobby” Lee Cummings, 66, Mt Juliet, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 8.  

Cummings was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Don and Iva F. Cummings. 

He is survived by sisters Barbara Cummings, Debbie (Mike) Foust and brother Donny (Cheryl) Cummings along with many nephews, nieces and extended family. 

Cummings was born in Hastings, Nebraska August 11, 1945. After his graduation he joined the Military where he served as Military Police and then in the Army National Guard as a Sgt in the 401st MP POW Camp. He was also a founding member of the Nashville Songwriters Association. He had made lifelong friends in the Music Industry. As a songwriter The Lord opened many doors for Bobby. Along with his love for music and song writing, he was an Antiquarian and had his own antique shop. Bobby had a special talent of finding rare antiques, which was a true passion of his. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Pallbearers are Ray Armstrong, Dave Gibson, David Gibson Jr., Kevin Grant, Mike Rivers, Chris Zamora, Joe Smith, Joshua Foust. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Ricks, Mike Foust, Travis Foust, Bryan Reese. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13th at 2 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet with Chaplain Paul Gunn officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with family and friends was Tuesday June 12 p.m. and from noon to 2 p.m. on the day of services.
