Sarah Elizabeth Van Cleave, 85, Mt. Juliet, died June 19.

Van Cleave was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Van Cleave was manager of the Savannah, Ga. Visitors Center. She was the daughter of the late, Robert Shirley and Sarah Lou Vaden Caldwell. Van Cleave was also preceded in death by her siblings, Annie Mai Gatlin, Pauline Jackson, Grace Smith, Lena Gourley and Robert Caldwell, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Brenda E. Carrigan. 

She is survived by: husband of 46 Years, William J. Van Cleave; son, Donald G. Carrigan; daughter, Linda J. (Doyle) Wood; grandchildren, Jennifer Wood (Brian) McKinney, Christopher (Allison) Wood, Julie Wood (Michael) Harlan, and Megan Carrigan; great-grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth, Jackson, and Atlee McKinney; Ashton, Madison, and William Cooper Wood; and Katelyn Harlan.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bishop Gooden officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Donald Carrigan, Doyle Wood, Chris Wood, Brian McKinney, Michael Harlan and Tom Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson McKinney, Ashton Wood and Cooper Wood.

Franklin Lee Hazelwood, Sr. born Sept. 28, 1934 passed away June 15. 

Frank was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His love for golfing, fishing and the Vanderbilt Commodores were undeniable.An electrician by trade, he was a retired member of Local IBEW and Reemay. Service will be at the Hermitage Funeral Home Wednesday, June 18, at 2 p.m. Visitation was Tuesday, June 17 and is Wednesday, June 18 from noon until time of service.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Marie and James Edward Hazelwood, two sons Larry Wayne Hazelwood and Franklin Lee Hazelwood, Jr. 

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita Allen Hazelwood, daughters, Charmaine Major, Jill (Lee) Hunt, Lara Hazelwood; Daughter-in-Law, Angela Hazelwood; eight grandchildren: Scott (Tina) Kizer, Selena Christian, Jessica (Hunter) Morton, Ashley Hazelwood, Cory Hunt, Chloe Hazelwood and Carson Hazelwood; six great-grandchildren: Jessie Brown, Wesley Christian, TeriLyn Morton, Sarah Kizer, Logan Morton and Madison Morton; Sister, Peggy Hunter as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Active pallbearers are Lee Hunt, Scott Kizer, Cory Hunt, Hunter Ingham, Carmen Mangum, Jr., Lee Mangrum.  

Honorary pallbearers are Bruce (Chip) Buckner, Carmen Mangrum, Sr., Al Gragg, Bill Hicks, Landis Sanders, Bob Smith, Billy Stewart, Graham Steakley, Leonard Cathey, Denis Swift and Bobby Hudson.

James Howard Keeley, 63, Mt. Juliet, died June 9. 

Keeley was the owner of Keeley’s signs. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and was known for his pin striping and custom paint work on automobiles and tour buses for country music artists. Keeley was a good storyteller and had a reputation for being humorous. He lived life on his on terms, but he lived by the Golden Rule. Mr. Keeley was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Johnnie Foster Keeley and his sisters, Kathy Simpson and Linda Welchance.

He is survived by: wife of 35 years, Patricia Keeley; son, Stoney Keeley; sisters, Phyllis Keeley and Connie Warrick.

Funeral services were Friday, June 13 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willis Orr, Sr. officiating. Interment followed at Caraway Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Vick, Andrew Bell, Saleem Asghar, Darrius Crawford and Jeff Foster.

Nicholas Ann Tidwell, 68, Old Hickory, died June 11. 

Tidwell was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of Miss Nicki’s Daycare for 32 years and was a former member of the Hermitage Lions Club. Mrs. Tidwell was the daughter of the late Russell Perry and Dorothy Lois Grubbs Hyatt. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Bill Alexander and her siblings, Cynthia Lois Hyatt and Larry Alexander.

She is survived by: husband of 44 years, Charles “Cotton” Tidwell; children, Renee (John) Rodman, Terri (Darrell) Craig, Kevin Scott and  Matt (Kim) Tidwell; brothers, Steve (Brenda) Alexander and Mike Alexander; grandchildren, Chelsea Rodman, John Mac Rodman, Kayln (Davey) Stephens, Katie Craig, Dylan Scott, Grayson Scott, Savannah Tidwell and Abby Tidwell; great-grandson due in September, Brantley Tallent; aunt, Mary Currie; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 14 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment was Monday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Danny C. Farmer, 76, Old Hickory, died June 3. 

Farmer was a member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and received The Bronze Star Medal and The Meritorious Service Medal. Mr. Farmer was a member of the Military Officers Association of America and a member of the Vietnam Veterans Helicopter Pilots Association. Mr. Farmer served as the City Manager of Mt. Juliet for 18 years and was a former president of the Tennessee City Managers Association. He was a member of the Mt. Juliet Breakfast Rotary Club, the Wilson County Grand Squares Square Dance Club and was an avid golfer. Mr. Farmer was the son of the late, Hugh Wilson and Lennie Geraldine Thomas Farmer. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carlotta Hoffman.

He is survived by: wife of 58 years, Joan Farmer; children, Danny Alan Farmer, Carol (Tony) Alicie and Susan Beth Farmer; grandchildren, Patrick and Bethany Alicie.

Funeral services were Friday, June 6, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment with full military honors followed at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be 1983-2000 City of Mt. Juliet Employees. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 4825 Trousdale Dr., Ste. 220, Nashville, TN 37220.
