Milus Ann Barrett, 81,  Mt. Juliet passed away Aug. 30. 

She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Barrett, Sr.; parents, Shelie and Chole Webb; sister, Sally McClain; and brothers, Junior Webb, Everett Webb and Smith Webb. 

She is survived by: children, Angie (Doug) Kelley, Robert (Seleta) Barrett, Jr., and Mike Barrett; sisters, Mildred (Johnny) Turner and Jo Evans; brother, Porter Webb; and grandchildren, Rachel (Josh) Lloyd and Andrew (Carmen) Kelley.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Kenneth Webb, Wayne Caldwell, Josh Lloyd, Andrew Kelley, Doug Kelley and Roger Newman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: Mrs. Barrett’s nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, Sept. 2 and Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 11 am until time of service.

Shirley Marie Cartwright, 57, Mt. Juliet, died Aug. 28.

Shirley was a member of Beckwith Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late, Mahugh and Susan Lucille Spivey Lackey.

She is survived by: husband, Ronnie Satterfield; son, John (Natalie) Cartwright; daughter, Shawna (Justin) Satterfield-Sager; grandchildren, Jacob Cartwright, Joey Cartwright, Susan Cartwright, Sarah Cartwright, Cheyenne Satterfield-Sager, Paisley Satterfield-Sager and Willow Jade Sager.

Funeral services will be conducted 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. Danny Tomlinson officiating.

Virginia Ward Harris, 90, Hermitage died Aug. 27, at Mt. Juliet Health Care. A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo C. “Lon” Ward and Emma Ruby Grills Ward. She was a 1941 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School. She retired from Lifeway Christian Resources. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, The Red Hat Society and the Circle 8 Square Dance Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Edwin Harris; four sisters: Lou Ada Emerson, Vera Bilbro, Stella Brown, Sue Foutch; five brothers:  Lofton, Bennie, Joe, Dan and Martin Ward.  

She is survived by: two children,  Betty (Jerry) Griffin, Dennis Edwin (Patsy) Harris; four grandchildren.  Melanie Ann Griffin, Rodney Harris (Ginger) Griffin, Alicia Carlene (Lanny) Holland, Derek Edwin (Michelle) Harris; four great-grandchildren,  Ethan, Ensley, Eli, and Noah Harris.

Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 30, from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Vogtner officiating.  Interment was at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers were  Derek Harris, Rodney Griffin, Lanny Holland, Allan Foutch, Kent Ward, Jerry Griffin.  Visitation  was Friday  and Saturday. The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 6010 S. New Hope Rd., Hermitage, TN 37076.

Patricia Lillian Clise Downing, 64, Mt. Juliet, died Aug. 15. 

Pat was a native of Portsmouth, Va. She was the daughter of the late, John Russell and Audrey Jean Farrar Clise. Pat had formerly been employed as a LPN.

She is survived by: daughter, Marcia Hollis; two grandchildren.

No services are planned.

Glenn A. Helms, 82, Mt. Juliet, died Aug. 13. 

Helms was a member of Corinth Church of Christ. He graduated from Howard High School where he lettered in basketball and football. Helms served in the Air National Guard during the Korean War. He retired from Moore Business Forms where he was an account representative for many years. Mr. Helms had a passion for gardening. He was the son of the late, Clarence Lafayette and Kate Clara Jeffries Helms. Mr. Helms was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Helms and his brother, Raymond Helms.

He is survived by: daughters, Monica (Scott) West and Marla Fleming; grandchildren, Lacey Fleming, Katherine West (Andy) Misagal and Madison Helms West; great-granddaughter, Sadie Olivia Misagal; brothers-in-law, Dr. Bill Breeding and Ray (Pat) Austin.

Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 15, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. Alan Hutchison and Bro. Buddy Neal officiating. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Madison West, Scott West, Andy Misagal, Allen Herald, Mark Loftis, Michael Austin, Lacey Fleming and Joe Gunnels. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Williams, Roy Herald, Bill Breeding and Ray Austin.
