Clarence Rollins passed away June 6, at age 74.  The Funeral Service was Monday, June 8,  in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, with visitation until the service.

Rollins is survived by: children Wayne Rollins (Jennifer) and Dana Mallory (Robby) and grandchild Alyssa Mallory.  He is preceded in death by son Danny Rollins, and parents Clarence B. and Pearl Rollins.

Gail Sutliff, 66, passed from this earthly plane June 1, surrounded by family.  

The family received friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon,  Thursday and Friday until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by her Brother in Christ Kevin Owen, was Friday, June 5, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery was Friday, June 5.  Family and friends served as Pallbearers.

Sutliff was baptized believer and an active member of the Lord’s Body.  She was born in Americus, Ga. and was a teacher in the Chesapeake Public School System for 25 years.  She graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Education, and received her Masters in Education from Norfolk State.  She was a member of and past Regent in the D.A.R., the U.D.C., the Colonial Dames, and the Daughters of the American Colonists.

Sutliff is survived by: husband of over 46 years, Richard Sutliff; children, Susan (Jason) Shipley, Melissa (Ernie) Floyd, Eryn Sutliff, and Jennifer (Seth) McCollough; grandchildren, Brice, Barrett, and Vera Floyd; parents, William and Dorothy Burton; and siblings, Bill Burton Jr., Ann Deriemer, Susan McCarthy, Barbara Moore, and Jim Burton.

Christeen Anderson, 91, passed away peacefully May 31. Preceded in death by husbands, Leland Hutcheson (died in WWII) and Woodrow Anderson (husband for 45 years). 

She is survived by: daughters, Beverly (Fred) Williamson, Betty Anderson, Deborah Anderson and Dana (Doug) Merritt; grandson, Evan Williamson; sisters, Olean Buse and Pauline McClure.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 and from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, June 4. Funeral service will be held at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 4 with Bro. Billie Friel officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Shirley Ann Hoskins Walker, 74, Mt. Juliet, died May 28. 

Walker attended Miracle Baptist Church. She was retired from K-Mart, working at both the Donelson and Hermitage stores. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, C.S. “Buz” Walker; son, James Hoskins Walker and sisters, Betty Keith and Mary Scaggs. 

She is survived by: sons, Stan (Patti) Walker, Ricky (Amy) Walker and Tony (Lynn) Walker; grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Saballos, Travis (Mary) Walker, Chad (Hannah) Walker, Taylor (Ryan) Hollingshead, Heather (Ryan) Hammonds, Tanner (Shelby) Walker, Brandon and Braxton Walker; great-grandchildren, Kazzey Saballos, Verana Saballos, Brooklynn Walker, Aubrey Hollingshead, Paislee Hollingshead, Sadie Hollingshead, Jaxson Walker and Tanner Walker, Jr.; niece, Patty LaBerge and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Sunday, May 31, at Bond Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Harry N. Blackwell, 73, Old Hickory, died May 22. 

Blackwell was a native of Nashville, although his youth was spent in Sheffield, Ala. He and his family moved to Tennessee in 1967 and made the Mt. Juliet area home for the past 43 years. He was retired from the TVA Nashville Engineering Unit with 38 years of service. Blackwell was the son of the late, Jack Martin and Mildred Elizabeth Newport Blackwell. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Leah Christine Blackwell. 

He is survived by: wife of almost 53 years, Becky Atwell Blackwell; son, Chance (Rachel) Blackwell; sister, Elaine B. (Edwin) Holcombe; grandchildren, Lillian Christine Blackwell.

Funeral services were noon Monday, May 25, at Bond Memorial Chapel. Graveside services followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Hatch Blvd., in Sheffield, Ala.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Juliet Christian Academy Elementary School Fund, 735 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.
