Rape suspect apprehended in Mt. Juliet PDF Print E-mail

A rape suspect out of Davidson County was apprehended in Mt. Juliet after a citizen spotted the man in a wooded area. 

According to the Metro-Nashville Police Department, German Ricardo Giron Gonzalez, 20 had fled his car when a Metro-Nashville spotted him near the Davidson-Wilson County line. Sunday night, a woman reported that she spent the night at a home where Gonzalez was staying as well. She woke up to Gonzalez sexually assaulting her, and he fled when she screamed. 

Gonzalez was spotted by the Metro-Nashville officer on Rehnea Drive in Old Hickory. Around noon, a resident of Hickory Hills alerted the Mt. Juliet Police Departments that she saw a man matching Gonzalez’s description. Multiple officers responded and assisted Metro-Nashville officers with their search. 

Gonzalez walked out of the woods and surrendered himself around 12:30 p.m. near Devonshire Drive and Maricourt Street. 

Gonzalez is charged with rape. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
