Mt. Juliet split their first two district games last week, beating Gallatin, but falling to Beech.

Marshall Gei pitched six scoreless innings against Gallatin Tuesday, giving up four hits and striking out seven.

Every starter for the Golden Bears had a hit in the win, with Kote Smith, Kyle Grace and Zach Ehrhart each picking up two hits.

“Our guys came out with the right mindset tonight,“ said Jim Carter. “The temperature made it a very challenging night to play, but our entire team responded well to the challenge.”
