Friendship Christian School running back, Austin Taylor, scored three touchdowns in the first half as the Commanders compiled over 330 yards of rushing offense in a 41-7 win over Mt. Juliet Christian Academy last Friday.

Taylor scored on runs of 5 and 27 yards in the first quarter on his way to a total of 77 yards for the night.  Steven Hollis, who led the Commanders in rushing with 105 yards, scored from 32 yards out on the first play of the second quarter.  Quarterback A. J. Hollis added an 18 yard rushing touchdown before Taylor scored his third TD of the half to give the Commanders a 35-0 lead at intermission.

After a scoreless third quarter, MJCA was driving deep into Friendship territory when a Saints fumble was returned 68 yard for Friendship’s final score.  The Saints got on the score board when quarterback, Ric VanMali, found tight end, Zach Jones, in the end zone with 4:22 remaining the game.  The point-after by Landon Boyd was good for the final score.

The Saints (1-5) will entertain Pickett County for Homecoming, this Friday night with kickoff scheduled for 7:00PM.
