Lady Bears make region finals PDF Print E-mail

The Mt. Juliet Lady Bears made their way into the Region 5-AAA finals with wins over Clarksville and Hendersonville. 

The Lady Bears started with a domination of Clarksville Friday, 74-29. Raeyana DeGray led the way with 21 points, while Ronjanae DeGray had 12 and Sally McCabe had 11. 

Mt. Juliet kept up their winning ways Monday, beating Hendersonville, 54-35. Raeyana DeGray had 17, Ashley Roby had 15 and McCabe finished with 14. 

The Lady Bears will play Rossview for the Region title Wednesday at Rossview, 7 p.m.

The Mt. Juliet and Wilson Central boys were also still alive as of press time Tuesday. 

The Bears beat West Creek Saturday, 57-48. 

Daniel Schroeder had 13, John Mark Bell had 12, and Zac Anderson finished with 10. 

Mt. Juliet played at Kenwood Tuesday for a spot in the Region 5-AAA title. 

Wilson Central was on the other side of the semifinal, earning their way there by beating Henry County, 54-47. Jon Rosshirt led the way with 20 points, while Jacob Williams finished with 11. 

Central played Station Camp Tuesday for a chance to go to the region finals.
