Central softball wins two in 9-AAA Tourney PDF Print E-mail

Wilson Central hosted Portland in a first round matchup of the District 9-AAA tournament Thursday night, and came away with a 8-0 win.  

That was more than enough for Junior Hannah Bodenhorn, who pitched all seven innings, limiting Portland to a bunt single in the fourth inning as their only hit, while striking out 12.

Central pounded out 11 hits in the game, leading to their eight runs.  Katie Eakes and Brooke Pfefferle each had 3 hits, while Brittany Wiseman, Kelsey Tomlin, Morgan Powell, Kendall Eden, and Claire Smith each had a hit.

Central picked up another win Monday, knocking off Lebanon 4-2. 

The Lady Wildcats played Hendersonville Tuesday after press time. 

MJ loses opener

Mt. Juliet lost their tournament opener to Hendersonville Thursday, 2-1. 

The Lady Bears faced Lebanon in an elimination game Tuesday after press time.
