Boomtown Mt. Juliet booming with business
Mt. Juliet is a town of opportunity when it comes to businesses searching for a home in Middle Tennessee.
The “City Between The Lakes” is a growing community with much potential that many retailers and restaurant franchises are taking advantage of.
Mt. Juliet City Manager, Kenny Martin, said, “We are excited for the plans that have been submitted to the city’s planning commission that have been successful so far. We are very blessed here in Mt. Juliet.”
Martin elaborated on newly opened businesses and businesses to come in the community.
Providence and Downtown Mt. Juliet are growing with business at a rapid pace.
Trending retailer, Lizard Thicket, just recently opened in Providence Market Place, filling a large vacant space across from the roundabout and Books-A-Million.
The new locally-owned steakhouse restaurant, WoodFire, also opened recently on North Mt. Juliet Road claiming excellent reviews.
Calabria Oven-Baked Pizzeria opened on the corner suite of the Bargain Hunt retail center strip. The business, beginning with a soft opening, plans to hold their Grand Opening this Fall. Lighting & Energy Group will open in the same retail center soon!
Baskin Robbins experienced a later opening date, mid-summer, in the Sellar’s Park retail complex next to newer franchises Marco’s Pizza and Jersey Mike’s which opened earlier in the year.
After the lifting of the stop-work-order, the retail strip located inside the Providence Commons outparcel on South Mt. Juliet Road will soon see the opening of Starbucks and Moe’s Southwest Grill. The retail center is currently home to Edible Arrangements which opened earlier this Spring. The strip is also future home to China One and SuperCuts.
“The City Center” gets its unique name due to its location in the center of town.
The 40,000-square-foot retail strip being constructed holds (currently operating) Crossfit-MJ, and future committed businesses such as: Cricket Wireless, Guns & Ammo, Sweet CiCi’s, B.B.’s BBQ, White Lily, Smart Cremation, Smoke Fusion-Q, and an upcoming local gourmet meat & cheese market.
Rocky Williams Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep future location is more than 50% complete in the Paddock’s Shopping Center, located off of Pleasant Grove Road.
Another future development to be completed in the same shopping center behind Longhorn Steakhouse is the upcoming Culver’s restaurant franchise which will be co-owned and operated by successful football coach, Eric Johnson.
Krystal, being constructed on Lebanon Road in North Mt. Juliet, is scheduled for a grand opening this Fall.
“Fourteen Foods franchisee of Dairy Queen has hopes of having their new ‘Grill & Chill’ restaurant open in Mt. Juliet serving ice cream and favorite American foods by December 2016,” said Fourteen Food’s, Brian Peterson.
The Courtyard by Marriott being constructed on Providence Parkway will host its opening at the end of Summer. The modern 96-room hotel will feature a bistro bar and a 3,000-square-foot convention space.
Currently being constructed across from newly renovated Two Rivers Ford is the upcoming Saint Thomas Health center and Meridian & Lifestyle communities.
Tuesday Morning has made a name for itself in the local community opening its next location in the Publix shopping center in South Mt. Juliet.
City Manager, Kenny Martin, said that Mt. Juliet has some other exciting opportunities for its community in the near future.
