Mt. Juliet High students charged in drug sweep
A random, yet routine, drug sweep by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office concluded with a couple of Mt. Juliet High School students charged for possession last Wednesday, September 28.
Local authorities searched four high schools in Wilson County: Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, Wilson Central, and Watertown high schools.
Two 17-year-old male students at Mt. Juliet High School were searched where authorities found marijuana and paraphernalia. Both students were suspended from the school after being cited for the charges.
The charges for one of the male, teen students consisted of simple possession along with a paraphernalia charge.
The other Mt. Juliet teen student was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to resale along with possession of drug paraphernalia.
A date for juvenile court has been set for the teens’ charges.
