4th Annual Run Supports Health Care in Wilson County

Lace up your running shoes for a good cause in our community! The 4th Annual Charis Challenge benefits the Charis Health Center clinics in Mt. Juliet and Gladeville.

Charis provides primary health care to uninsured residents in the Wilson County area. Despite the Affordable Care Act, health care is still not affordable to many hard working people in our community. Charis serves these individuals and families in the coverage gap.

Charis Health Center operates similar to a regular doctor’s office, but they’re staffed primarily by volunteers. Through support from the community, they are able to limit the cost to patients to $25 for an office visit.  For more information on becoming a patient or volunteer, please call (615) 773-5785.

The Charis Challenge offers 5K and 1 Mile distances and welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels, from amateurs to elite athletes.  New this year, The Charis Challenge is offering a $10 registration discount for students. Please no pets at this event.
