Greenwood, Linda Kay, age 71, of Old Hickory, TN, died October 25, 2017.
Mrs. Greenwood was a native of Lawrence County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Robert and Loma Cedila Langley.
Mrs. Greenwood had a strong Christian faith. She enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, who all adored her. Linda’s nickname was “Sunshine” because of her infectious smile, kind caring soul and happy disposition.
Mrs. Greenwood was also preceded in death by her siblings, Doyle Williams, Troy Williams, Leon Williams, Elvie George, Ethel Glass and Lena Long, and her brother-in-law, Charles Greenwood.
She is survived by: Husband of 47 years – George M. Greenwood; Children – Detra “DeDe” Hardiman, Dale (Jackie) Hardiman, Kevin (Lisa) Hardiman, Terry (Dawn) Hardiman, Janet Langley, Cheri (Bob) Buttrey-Jenkins and Chris Greenwood; Siblings – Francis Vanderford, Charlsie (Harold) Rucker and Charlene Williams; Sisters-in-law – Tillie Williams and Jo Emma Morgan; Brother-in-law – John Greenwood; 12 Grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren; Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Cordell Simpson officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Nathan Hardiman, Nick Hardiman, Casey Cook, Dylan Harrington, Houston Harrington, Christopher Greenwood, Richard Vogt and Vince McQuillen.
