Paul Scott “Snakeman” Linzey, age 70, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 24, 2017. Scott was retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Lois DeBerry Special Needs Facility, and was formerly a Deputy for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, reptiles and guns and when he loved, he loved with all his heart. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Geraldine Bell.
He is survived by:Wife of 15 years – Renee Linzey; Daughters – Tasha (Bernard) Linzey-Gorham and Jodi (Justin) Whittsitt; Adopted children – Steve (Brandie) Beamer, Louis (Rachel) LaVergne, Ian Mewhinney and Lacy Felts; Half-sisters – Jeri Bell and Lori Benson; Aunt – Joyce Shaffer; Grandchildren – Claudette Linzey, Aiden Linzey, McKenzie Gorham, Maddison Linzey, Myles Gorham, Lucy Ritchie, Emily Ritchie, Britton Whittsitt, Jet Whittsett, Shelbi LaVergne, Eli LaVergne, Colton Beamer and Bentley Mewhinney.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel.
