Martin gives updates on North Mt. Juliet businesses

Mt. Juliet City Manager Kenny Martin got on Facebook with MJPD Captain Tyler Chandler to talk about different things going on in the city.
Among many topics, Martin touched on some businesses and projects on the north side, including what will happen with CP Between the Lakes after the owner tragically passed away recently.
Martin said the restaurant could open up under new ownership as the same business, and that is the city’s hope, but it could close and allow another restaurant to open up in that location. Martin said he has already received calls that if the building was to come open, many businesses were interested in taking it over.
Martin said the family hasn’t decided what they want to do, and the city will be there for them whenever they make their decision.
“We are going to give that family time to heal,” said Martin.
Martin also gave an update on the Whataburger’s intentions to build on the corner of Lebanon Road and N. Mt. Juliet Road. He said the gas station and small brick building on that corner lot will go away for the Whataburger project. Between that building and Slim Chickens will be a Camel Car Wash. A service road will run behind there so you can get to the redlight near F&M Bank if you need to go south on N. Mt. Juliet Road, or north to get back to Lebanon Road to travel west. Martin said the developers still have to meet with Planning to see how to move forward with the project.
Martin also said the lot next to Christian Brothers Automotive will be a Class A office building.
