Mt. Juliet knocked off Beech, but couldn’t overcome Wilson Central in penalty kicks last week.
In the game against Beech, Curtis Hudson got the Bears on the board on an assist from David Siever.
Siever had the game winner on a 25-yard free kick just before the half.
The defense locked down Beech during much of the game, including Scott Wilson, Brandon Tarver and center backs Nathan Smith, Riley Muncher and Matthew Malone.
Regulation time couldn’t decide the game against Wilson Central, as the two teams were forced into penalty kicks.
Wilson Central came out on top, 5-4 to notch the win.
Mt. Juliet also suffered a 3-1 loss to Stewarts Creek Saturday, but bounced back with a 3-2 win over Portland Monday.
