Mt. Juliet softball completed the season sweep of Wilson Central Thursday with a 2-0 win.
Savannah Sanders led the way for the Bears, striking out 11 batters in the complete game win.
The Bears followed that with another shut out Monday, 8-0 over Station Camp.
Central came away with a win the night before against Hendersonville, 3-1.
Central scored all three runs in the bottom of the third inning after Claire Smith’s single was followed by a single by Brooke Pfefferle before three straight walks by Morgan Powell, Katie Eakes, and Kayla Varner helped push two runs across the board. Morgan Stokes followed that with a sacrifice fly to score Powell.
Senior Hannah Bodenhorn held Hendersonville to one hit over 6.1 innings, while striking out seven batters. Powell came in to pitch the seventh but gave way after retiring two batters and giving up three hits and a run before Bodenhorn came back in to get the final out.
Wilson Central beat Gallatin 14-0 in four innings Monday night at Municipal Park in Gallatin.
Powell increased to 16-0 on the season by limiting The Lady Wave to two hits, while striking out nine batters. Shelby Woodard connected on her third home run of the season, a three-run shot to center in the fourth inning.
