White Lily has taken root in Mt. Juliet after being on the road for years. The boutique began as a traveling jeweler, making its way around the southeast United States. Clothing was then incorporated as they continued to participate in pop-up kiosks, trade shows and military base work.
Owner Joann Draper and daughter Paris Spruill, store manager, had considered settling down to a more permanent physical presence with White Lily, for a while. After Spruill graduated, married and made her home in Mt. Juliet, they decided the time was right.
The store features apparel, accessories, fine sterling silver jewelry, gifts, home decor and will be offering engraving services in the near future. White Lily has a very unique vibe, from the wall decor to the front counter, which is made from an authentic vintage bus front, with working headlights! In the spirit of keeping the face of the store continually changing, all decorations and store fixtures are able to be purchased.
Many of the gifts are reclaimed items that have been repurposed. “We are making every effort to not carry the exact same thing as other boutiques in the area,” Draper said, “we want to offer the client something different.” For a more personalized experience, clothing styles are carried in limited quantities, when something sells out it is replaced with a new style.
Variety is key, at White Lily. “We carry styles from romantic, to edgy, to preppy,” Spruill said, “we have everything under the sun so when you walk in, you can find something that you like.”
In an effort to give back, the boutique carries many gift items which benefit charity. The Light a Candle, Feed a Child project provides meals to orphans with every candle purchase.
Draper and Spruill are very positive about their decision to set up shop in the area. “Everyone’s been super supportive even other boutiques have been reaching out and helping us,” Spruill said, “we appreciate it so much.”
