Ward, Jr., Andrew Jackson, “A.J.”, “Shine”, age 89, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died September 20, 2017. Mr. Ward was baptized at Green Hill Church of Christ. He retired from Ford Glass Plant after 32 years of service as a machinist. Mr. Ward was an avid outdoorsman, a gardener and enjoyed welding. He was an organized hoarder and a “dump picker” and could fix anything. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time with his best friend, Justin. Mr. Ward was the son of the late, Andrew Jackson Ward, Sr. and Sarah Warrick Ward. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 68 Years, Nelia Jean Ward and 8 siblings.
He is survived by: Daughter – Beverly (Jim) Lamberson; Grandchildren – Greg (Julie) Lamberson and Shannon (Eddie) Smith; Great-grandchildren – Jordan Lamberson, Drew Truitt, Blanton Smith, Kincey Smith and Nathan Smith.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Tony Barrett, Harold Maddux, Mike Twitty, Brad Wardlaw, Justin Ferrell, Nathan Ferrell and Charles Huddleston. Honorary pallbearers were past and present fellow retirees of Ford Glass Plant.

The family would like to especially thank the staff at Life Care Center of Old Hickory Village for the care they gave to Mr. Ward.
